I took this video when the initial testing phase of the new Pasadena ICIS system started to take place. It has since been placed into service with nearly every talkgroup using full P25 encryption. (so, unmonitorable) It still carries a Verdugo Fire patch that operates in digital mode. callsign WQOF435 NAC 37A System ID WACN BEE00-376 Modulation CQPSK MOT APCO P25 TDMA

Recently while cleaning out my closet, I came across these audio cd's of old radio broadcasts from "The World Famous" KROQ 106.7 in Pasadena, CA from the 1980s and early 90s. This is part 1 of 2 from July 25th, 1982 featuring legendary KROQ DJ Rodney Bingenheimer aka Rodney on the ROQ. Binghenheimer was famous on KROQ for being the first DJ in LA to play Punk music. Bingenheimer is still with KROQ to this day, There are also a few commercials from the Licorice Pizza record store chain. There are about 20 of these CDs from different dates and I am not sure how I acquired these. All music has been edited out for copyright reasons but the radio banter and commercials are intact. **WE DO NOT OWN NOR CLAIM OWNERSHIP OF THESE BROADCASTS. Youtube objected to the Bob Dylan song I used at the end of the film. So I replaced it with a generic guitar loop track - sorry - it was the only way to save the rest of the audio track from the jaws of youtube editors. My nephew Nick Shaw K6NCS is in the film a couple of times making contacts. He was about age 11 at the time. Film by Bruce Nolte N1BN
